Useful Booking Information

To make the most of the available support on offer, a morning or afternoon session – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm – can be used for:

  • A Consultation Meeting

  • Planning and Observations

  • Pupil Support or a PSHE session

       or a combination of the three.

If you would like a single hour of support for a Consultation Meeting, please select a slot at the beginning or end of a morning or afternoon. However, you might want to combine the hour with Planning and Observations, a 2-hour workshop or training course.

You have the option of a 2-hour or 3-hour training course. In a 3-hour session the content is much more tailored around the experiences and needs of the school. It often gives staff members the opportunity to consider immediate concerns that have arisen in the setting and begin some collaborative planning to address the issues.

In addition, some training packages include more theory around behaviours which work better as 3-hour sessions. Longer sessions for the following would be appropriate:

  • Building Resilience for Staff

  • CDI Strategy (choice, decision, instruction) Training

  • De-escalation Training

  • Managing High Risk Behaviour

  • Positive Behaviour for Effective Learning

  • Supporting Emotionally Vulnerable Children

  • Transactional Analysis

Subject to availability a 3-hour training course can be delivered in two 90-minute sessions over a successive two-week period.

 ---

Developing the Behaviour Policy can be delivered as a whole-school session, but may be more beneficial for a working party or senior leadership team to develop and later present to the rest of the staff.

Peer Mediation Training to children in Year 5 and/or Year 6 is delivered as three 90-minute sessions over consecutive weeks.
